Prior to arriving at this newfound intense interest with how the banks work, the chances of me googling ‘credit card’ would have been about as slim as me winning the lotto. I just simply wouldn’t have bothered. I’m too busy and, well, I guess, like my mortgage, my credit card wasn’t something I thought about too much. My husband already had one when we married, so I just jumped onto his account and became an additional card holder. It was nice and easy and I figured if he had the credit card already he surely would have looked into it and made the most sensible decision (in hindsight, I don’t think one knows one’s husband as well as one might think when one is first married.
